Childcaring was formed by uniting two
Child Care Connection, Inc. and Child Care
and Referral — to make quality care available to all in
Adams, Clark, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Marquette,
Taylor, Waushara, and Wood Counties (Wisconsin).
Childcaring is a member of Child Care Aware® of America
(National Association of Child Care Resource & Referral Agencies),
and Supporting Families Together Association (SFTA).
SFTA cultivates a system of organizations and professionals across Wisconsin to promote quality, strengths-based, early childhood services in all communities. SFTA’s core members consist of Wisconsin Child Care Resource & Referral (CCR&R) agencies and Family Resource Centers (FRCs). Together with their member agencies, SFTA works to realize the vision that in every Wisconsin community, all children have the opportunity to reach their highest potential and all adults embrace their role and responsibility to children. We are community-based experts who make child care work
by: developing child care professionals; connecting families with
child care services; and collecting data that impacts communities.
We work to increase the child care supply in areas that may lack
sufficient care, and offer technical assistance and training to
potential and existing child care programs. Childcaring also
helps communities, school districts, employers, and W-2 agencies
develop solutions to complex child care challenges.
Our database of child care programs and providers allows us to
provide information and track data on family referrals, family
demographics (including ages of children), type of care requested
(family or group settings, licensed, certified or provisional) and
specialized child care requests (children with special needs, sick
child care, and transportation issues). As an independent agency, we
refer equally to all regulated child care programs (family and group
child care centers) and serve families and children from all income
